Best Way's beginning took place in 1939, when Bud Collett and Ambrose Bertalmio recognized the need for a comprehensive, full-service cleaner in the Wheaton area. They established Best Way Rug & Furniture Cleaners on East Front Street, in downtown Wheaton. It wasn't long before demand for Best Way's superior service outgrew Best Way's capacity. So in 1946 a new plant was constructed, just a few blocks away on West Front Street, built with the specific purpose of area rug cleaning. It is in that same building, at 319 W. Front, that we still operate today. And while our reputation has grown, so has our business. In 1970, in order to meet rising demand for rug repairs and upholstery cleaning, we constructed an addition that allowed us to clean, repair and store rugs and furniture with ease and convenience.

1980 saw Best Way Rug & Furniture Cleaners change hands, with Ambrose Bertalmio's son, Henry, purchasing the business from his father. Henry used his years of experience to carry on Best Way's tradition of excellence. He coupled that experience with an intimate knowledge of the industry's advances, allowing Best Way to remain on the cutting edge of cleaning while never sacrificing its standards of service.

The new era of Best Way began with the new millenium, as two of Henry's sons became partners in the business.
